Alfies long lost last recording found at last, just in time for World Cup!

Bendi gives away a free football* song:
Alfies “(A lovely day for) Goalkeeping” have been disappeared but was recently found on an old tape cassette, only a couple of days before kick off. Furthermore, it’s exactly 20 years since Alfie was formed! We celebrate all this byt giving away Alfies last recording for free!

“(A lovely day for) Goalkeeping” was recorded in 1992 spelades in 1992 and became the last song they did together. The band had already gone from a quintet to a trio: Stefan Wesley (guitar, keyboards) and Magnus Häglund (drums, programming, keyboards) recorded demos on a four channel Fostex, and now and then called for Mattias Ek to come from Stockholm to add the vocals.

First Recycled CD on its way

The idea that started it all was to re-release material from Stefan Wesleys 80’s tape label. This part of the record company is now called Bendi Recycled, and it’s soon time for the first record!

The tape label (first called CA, then Enjoy and finally Mate) released band from different parts of Sweden, and even a couple from UK, but most of the tapes involved Stefan Wesley himself and/or his brother Kjell Häglund. Also youngest brother Magnus Häglund were featured here and there.

First out on Bendi Recycled is therefore a compilation CD with various bands including someone of the brothers, like Biljardakademien, Alfie, Season’s Greetings Control Addicts a.o.

The title will probably be “Recycled: In-house”. Release date is not yet decided, but beginning of may is not a too wild guess.
